Shipping & Tracking

If you notice there is a missing item on your shipping confirmation, your order is being shipped in multiple shipments.  Once the other item ships, you will receive an additional notification.

Orders typically ship within 1-4 days of placing your order, and in most cases, we go into overdrive to get them out the next day.  When your order is being prepared for shipping, you will receive a ‘Shipping Notification’ email.   This email serves as your receipt, and contains your tracking number.  If you did not receive order confirmation or a shipping notification please first check your email spam folder before contacting us.

You may receive a shipping notification several days prior to your order actually departing our facility.  If it’s not been at least 4 days, please continue to be patient and allow us to fulfill your order.

Some orders ship in multiple boxes.  If you received a box and it appears your missing some items, chances are your order shipped in multiple boxes.  Check your email for a second tracking number, including your spam folder.  If you haven’t received your second box within three days, please contact us for an update.

Why three days?  Orders ship within 4 days of placing an order.  If we get your first box out the next day, and the second box out 3 days later, your entire order shipped “on time”, however will arrive 2-3 days later.  You may email us, but please understand we only have access to the same tracking information provided to you.

Simply place the items in your shopping cart.  At the checkout screen select the “Money Order” option.  Your total will be sent to you via email receipt / confirmation.  Submit payment to the below address.  It would be helpful if you contacted us via email, letting us know when to expect your payment as we do not check our P.O. Box on a daily basis.

Please make your payment out to:  TX Brassworks LLC

It depends.  On a case by case basis we may accept large caliber rifle brass, large caliber pistol brass, magnum brass (rifle / pistol), and others.  We take seriously, the source and quality of the brass we sell.  If this is something you’re interested in, please contact us with the headstamp, quantity, condition, and origin.  To save us all time, brass must be once fired, with factory primer intact.

This happens for one of two reasons.  Reason #1:  We are still processing your order.  Reason #2:  The USPS did not ‘acceptance scan’ the package.  In either case, please be patient.  If you have not received your package within 7 business days, contact us.

All orders are shipped USPS Priority Insured.  Insurance is added to the posted shipping rates below at the cost of 1.2% ($0.012 per dollar) of the order sub-total.

Don’t panic!  There’s still hope.  Chances are your package is only delayed, not lost.  Yes, sometimes these delays take several days.   USPS Priority Mail is advertised as a 2-3 day service, but the USPS does not guarantee it.  The only “guaranteed” service offered by the USPS is USPS Priority Express.  Some post offices are busier than others, some are staffed better, sort-facilities can become overwhelmed, and equipment can malfunction causing unforseen delays.  All of these factors could be what’s led to your package being delayed.

Read this article we wrote about USPS Tracking.

When is a package considered lost?  The USPS considers a package lost after 30 calendar days from the date the package entered the postal system via acceptance scan.  We here at Monmouth accept claims for lost packages to be filed after 20 business days.  Up until this time, we encourage you to email us, but please understand there’s almost nothing we can do to speed up the delivery of your package.  We know you want them ASAP, we’re rifle builders and reloaders just like you.  If it’s been 20 business days, please visit our claim form.  Otherwise, we appreciate your patience.  Should it be considered lost, you’ll be contacted with an option for refund or re-shipment after 20 business days.

The following information is provided as a courtesy to our customers.

If after 7 business days you have not received your package, you may file a missing mail claim, which is also called a mail tracer.  There are two ways to file a mail tracer.  You may contact the USPS at 1-800-ASK-USPS and navigate their customer service menu.  Once on the phone with an agent, explain your package is lost and you would like to file a tracer.  Alternatively, you may visit https://www.usps.com/help/missing-mail.htm and fill out the form.  Once filed, keep an eye on your tracking information or opt in to receive either e-mail or text updates.  Within 3 days, if you do not see movement or updates, contact us to make us aware of your situation.

Lastly, you may attempt to contact your local USPS and politely request they check their INTERNAL tracking system.  Your post office may not be accustomed to being asked this question, but if they agree, you can sometimes obtain additional information not available to the general public regarding the whereabouts of your package.
